What is your favorite part of working at Schechter?
My favorite part about working at Schechter is belonging to a strong Jewish community. I grew up attending public schools, so it feels special for me to witness the magic that happens in our building on a daily basis. I love that while I am teaching general studies curriculum, I can find ways to tie in Jewish ideas and values. We celebrate our students for who they are at Schechter, and it is a privilege to work amongst colleagues who hold the same beliefs about children.
What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about teaching are the moments when a child has a breakthrough—either they finally understand a topic they struggled with for a long time, or they overcome a social-emotional challenge. It is truly a blessing to facilitate and witness those moments. I also love the sheer joy, humor, and passion that children bring to academic spaces. I learn from them every single day!
