Head of School Greeting
Welcome to Solomon Schechter Day School!
For more than a decade, Schechter has been my professional home. It is where I have grown as an educator, leader, and community member, and it is an incredible honor to serve as our Head of School.
What makes Schechter so special is that we are more than a school, we are a community built on relationships, shared values, and a deep commitment to helping every child thrive. Each day, our students are challenged academically, inspired Jewishly, and supported as individuals. They are known, valued, and encouraged to discover their strengths, pursue their passions, and make a meaningful impact on the world around them.
Our mission is to ignite our students’ Jewish souls, educate them to their highest potential, and empower them to use their knowledge, skills, and creativity to enrich our world. That mission comes to life in our classrooms, on our playgrounds and athletic fields, through our arts programs, in our celebration of Jewish life, and in the relationships that connect us to one another.
At Schechter, students engage in rigorous and joyful learning that nurtures their curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and character. They develop a strong foundation in both General and Judaic Studies, a deep connection to Israel and the Jewish people, and the confidence to navigate an ever-changing world with purpose and integrity.
