Howard Templer

With 12 years of classroom teaching experience, I bring a deep understanding of how students learn best. I later transitioned into project design for a math company, where I focused on developing meaningful, hands-on learning experiences. I’m passionate about creating opportunities for students to see their learning in action and connect concepts to the real world.

Outside of school, I enjoy working on film and video projects for Evanston sports programs, spending time with my family and our dogs, and caring for my 14 tortoises. One of the most meaningful parts of being at Schechter is that my own children are students here, making this community both professionally and personally special to me.
