A Havruta is a learning partner.
Project Zug is designed for learners of all levels of experience. Materials are provided both in Hebrew and in English so that they are accessible to everyone.
Ideally, you and your Havruta will meet once per week for about an hour, for four weeks. Meetings can be in person or virtual, whichever is most convenient and works best for your schedules. If on a particular week, you only have half an hour to spare, that works. You and your Havruta will set a schedule that works for the both of you. This is meant to be a positive, enjoyable learning opportunity, not a stressful obligation.
We are happy to find you a Havruta and make an introduction, or you can sign up with someone you’d like to learn with.
All of the learning materials will be provided to you and your Havruta.
You can always reach out to Faye Bearman or Rabbi Jonathan Bubis
You and your Havruta will learn about Judaism’s wisdom about resilience. You’ll explore the following questions: What are the different shapes resilience takes? How might we cultivate our own capacity for resilience based on the wisdom of Jewish tradition?
