Skokie Solomon Schechter Day School provides a warm, nurturing and stimulating learning environment for students in grades pre-K - 5. Skokie's diverse community includes families from 13 different Chicago and Northshore suburbs who are affiliated with more than 15 different Jewish congregations and representing a wide spectrum of Jewish observance.

The facilities include a full-size gymnasium, well-equipped playgrounds and playing fields, a welcoming learning center, and music, art and band rooms. Students take advantage of the latest technology in both general and Judaic studies including a recently updated computer lab, mobile lab units and Smartboards throughout the building.

The Skokie School community is proud of its commitment to health and wellness, and the school's hot lunch program was recently featured in the newsletter of Healthy Schools Program Success Stories, organized by the Alliance for a Healthy Generation. The School also provides a nut-free environment to ensure the health and well-being of all of our students.
