About our school Student Life school curriculum

Our students participate in and lead daily Tefillah and chant Torah with competence and joy in our Egalitarian morning services. Integrated throughout the curriculum are the highest values of Judaism and American citizenship. Our students live by the ideals of Tikun Olam and Derech Eretz, and develop the love of Torah, God, and Israel.  Holidays are studied and celebrated in exciting and innovative ways.

Both standing and mobile technology labs, field trips, authors’ visits, cultural arts events, band, and choir exemplify our commitment to developing well rounded children who can meet the challenges of the 21st century. Holiday celebrations, Shabbat lunches, social action projects, and Jewish milestones encourage our students to become serious Jews and leaders in the Jewish communities of tomorrow.

Our school has a nutritious hot lunch program, a variety of transportation opportunities, and early and after school care options to assist working families.

Field trips and other extra-curricular programs are integral to learning at Schechter. Many Schechter students participate in dance, band, choir and an annual theatrical production. Middle School students compete on Schechter’s basketball, volleyball and soccer teams. Classrooms and halls are covered with student-created art. Computer labs buzz with conversation and exploration. At Schechter there is truly something for everyone.
